Todd Rundgren was interviewed for the NAMM Oral History program the same day he was presented with inducted into the TEC Awards Hall of Fame. His visit to the NAMM show was his first in many years, however back in the 1970s and 80s Todd was often seen as a product endorser for string and guitar companies. Todd spoke of his career and passion for music with a focus on the gear he used over the years. He also spoke of his recent efforts in music advocacy and his desire to encourage as many young students to become music makers as possible!

Ringo Starr and All-Starr Band announce 2015 North and South America tour dates

Ringo Starr announced Nov. 10 that he and his All Starr Band will begin a new series of tour dates to begin in February. The shows will start in the U.S., then travel to Mexico, Latin America and South America before returning to North America.

The new tour will begin in Louisiana with U.S. dates in Texas, Alabama, South Carolina and Florida, then hit the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. It then moves to South America for dates in Brazil, Chile and Columbia. The final swing will feature it moving back to North America for dates in Mexico and California before winding up in Las Vegas March 15.

The band, featuring Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Bissonette and Warren Ham, is basically the same band he's played with since 2012. “We have so much fun playing together we don’t want it to end!," Starr says. He has also praised touring in Latin America, saying, “The audiences were just great and so loving, we can’t wait to go back."

Ringo and the All-Starr Band spent June and July of 2014 on tour in the U.S. That tour, announced in January, began in June in Ontario, Canada, and covered dates in New York, Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, North Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, California, Washington and a few dates in Canada. In February 2014, Simon & Shuster published"Octopus's Garden," a children's book based on Ringo's lyrics that also included a CD of him singing a new version of the song.

Beverly Hills, California - (October 28, 2014) - Singer, songwriter, record producer and prolific instrumentalist Todd Rundgren will auction memorabilia from his personal and professional career at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills for the benefit of his Spirit of Harmony Foundation. The collection includes stage played instruments to personal clothing and will give fans and collectors a chance to bid on items which have become synonymous with Rundgren's legendary contributions to the world of music.  

Rolling Stone magazine calls Rundgren an eclectically accomplished musician and virtuoso. He has been recording for more than three decades with his influence spanning simple pop to the progressive rock of Utopia. Aside from performing, he has served as producer on some of rock n' roll's most successful releases and is regarded as a pioneer of rock video, interactive CD and Web-based music. In his early career he was ahead of the time sporting Mod haircuts and Beatles-ish pop sound along with a musical sophistication when he formed the band Nazz in the late 1960s. After Nazz broke up, Rundgren formed Runt and hit the Top 20 in 1971 with the single "We Gotta Get You a Woman."  In the early 1970s Rundgren had hit singles with "I Saw the Light" and "Hello It's Me."  He also is known as a prolific producer with such credits as Meatload's "Bat Out of Hell,"  Badfinger's Straight Up LP, New York Doll's debut LP, Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band," Fanny's Mother Pride and many others.
