update: Rolling Stone S/A AD

Inline image 2

Greetings!

Thanks to the nearly 300 fans in so far, we are at the 1/3 page mark for a special ad for Todd Rundgren in
Rolling Stone Magazine to celebrate 40 Years of Something/Anything? Remember: 1,000 names = a full page.

The Free Utopia Party at the Cleveland Agora on 10/11/12, was a huge hit. In one weekend, we doubled the
collection to-date and generated a lot of buzz about the project. Now the count down is on for the 10/31/12 deadline
next week.

As I have mentioned before, if you are getting this email, you automatically receive a free level upgrade for any donation
you make. If you give $25, you get credit for $50, etc.

As an added bonus, the first 50 fans to contribute this weekend in response to this email will get a special
copper-colored Commemorative Lapel Pin as pictured below. You must put the word PIN following your name
listing, and of course provide your mailing address.

I know they won't believe it... when the world finally sees how much his fans love Todd. I hope you don't pass
on this opportunity.

Best Regards!

Bill Bricker

P.S. Don't forget to put PIN following your name when you contribute at www.Toddata.com

Todd Rundgren Fan Organizes Iconic Album’s Fortieth Anniversary Tribute Ad in Rolling Stone Magazine

Todd Rundgren Fan Organizes Iconic Album’s Fortieth Anniversary Tribute Ad in Rolling Stone Magazine Fans of iconic musician Todd Rundgren have the opportunity to be a part of plans to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the release of his “Something/Anything?” album. Rundgren enthusiasts can purchase a spot in an upcoming ad in Rolling Stone Magazine, an effort sponsored by toddata.com. . .Todd Rundgren Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) October 24, 2012 From the early days of his music career, Todd Rundgren has been a cult rock figure. But for a brief time in mid-‘70s it appeared he would break into the mainstream with the gold album "Something/Anything?" The two-album set which features the classic tracks "Hello it's Me" and "I Saw the Light," celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year. One longtime fan wants to make sure the milestone is recognized with a fan-funded advertisement in Rolling Stone Magazine. Bill Bricker's inspiration comes out of the pages of Todd's storied career. Rundgren's fifth album, aptly named “Todd,” included a poster featuring names from fans who sent in a postcard from his previous record. In similar fashion, the 40 Years of Something/Anything? Tribute in Rolling Stone will include the names of all contributors. This is Bricker's fourth Todd Rundgren-related Rolling Stone Magazine project. In 1992 the fans celebrated twenty years of "Something/Anything?" In 2004, he raised enough funds to place a quarter page ad in Issue #695 to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the release of the "Todd" album. And five years ago, 875 fans placed a half page for the fortieth anniversary of Rundgren's recording career coinciding with the lifespan of Rolling Stone 1967-2007. Now to bring focus to 40 Years of "Something/Anything?," Bricker recently hosted a gathering of over 300 fans before Rundgren's two-night stand at the historic Cleveland Agora. Everyone had the opportunity to bid on 1,000 square feet of vinyl images of Todd and his Utopia bandmates adorning the club. Eight foot tall replicas of “Something/Anything?” and “Back to the Bars” albums were erected, and fans watched a taped Utopia concert from 1978. Across the four-day weekend, contributions doubled from the existing 15% to 30% of a full page ad. “The final size of the ad is completely up to the fans,” Bricker said. “We will run a full page for every thousand names collected.” The tribute will run in one of the last two issues of the year. The deadline for inclusion in the ad is October 31. For more information visit toddata.com
