M Risen posted this a while ago on Youtube. it is one of my favorite non commercial pieces that Todd has created. actually i have many other favorites. Starting at the 4minute mark you get the hear the backing tracks that were used to create this piece. Very intersting to hear how todd pieced together this song.

outro pana with that amazing guitar work
RARE RE-MIX OF PRANA LOCATED ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THE "REAL MAN" 45 RPM SINGLE. YOU MAY BE SAYING TO YOURSELF, THIS IS PLAYING TOO SLOW? THIS IS PLAYING AT THE CORRECT SPEED AS THE ENTIRE SIDE 2 OF INITIATION WAS SPED UP 1/2 A STEP TO FIT ONTO ONE SIDE OF VINYL AS COMFORTABLY AS POSSIBLE, SLOW IT DOWN A HALF STEP ONE DAY TO LISTEN TO IT AS IT WAS INTENDED. THE GUITAR IS MIXED FURTHER UP IN THE MIX AS WELL AS THE DRUMS BEING MORE PROMINATE.

Initiation/Treatise on Cosmic fire left a huge imprint in my 15-year old mind when it was released. I think the remnants of that are still influencing me when I do music.
It was really fun talking to Roger Powell about how Treatise On Cosmic Fire was created. --Kent
Great to hear these, but I'm a little confused. Are these alternative stereo mixdowns from the original multitrack master tapes or are they modern day sampled remixes of the original multitrack tapes?
